Responcibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is complete and accurate.
Conduct detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist with tax filings and audits.
Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate smooth financial audits.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
