We are seeking a certified and dedicated Schroth Therapist to join our healthcare facility, providing specialized scoliosis-specific assessment and rehabilitation services to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients with spinal deformities. This role plays a key part in improving postural alignment, spinal stability, breathing mechanics, and functional independence, while helping to slow curve progression and enhance patients’ overall quality of life.
The Schroth Therapist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive scoliosis evaluations, developing individualized Schroth-based treatment programs, and delivering evidence-based, posture-specific therapy interventions in line with international Schroth principles and UAE healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, while maintaining accurate documentation and measurable treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed scoliosis assessments including postural analysis, spinal alignment, breathing patterns, and functional mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized Schroth therapy programs based on curve pattern classification and patient-specific goals.
- Deliver one-to-one Schroth therapy sessions focusing on postural correction, rotational angular breathing, and stabilization exercises.
- Educate patients and caregivers on scoliosis management, posture correction, breathing techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor patient progress, reassess curve-specific goals, and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, orthotists, and allied healthcare professionals for integrated scoliosis care.
- Support brace compliance by coordinating therapy interventions with orthotic treatment plans where applicable.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with DHA / DOH / MOH regulations.
- Uphold ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and quality assurance standards.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or a related rehabilitation discipline.
- Certified Schroth Therapist qualification from a recognized international institution (ISST, BSPTS, or equivalent).
- Valid DOH / MOH license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.
- Proven clinical experience in scoliosis-specific rehabilitation and postural therapy.
- Strong knowledge of spinal biomechanics, scoliosis management, and corrective exercise therapy.
- Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, and adult scoliosis patients.
- Excellent communication, patient education, and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently while maintaining high clinical standards.
