We are seeking a Commodities & Trading Sales Officer to drive sales and relationship development in the commodities trading division of an investment-centric firm focused on middle-market opportunities and global risk dynamics. The role involves identifying and developing trading leads, negotiating deals, and helping allocate funds toward forward-thinking and relative risk opportunities across world economies. This position will work closely with trading, strategy, and investment teams to maximize value for stakeholders while maintaining high performance and market insight. The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen, deep understanding of commodity markets, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset in evolving market contexts. Roles and Responsibilities - Develop and manage a portfolio of clients in the commodities and trading sector - Identify and close sales opportunities across key commodity products (e.g., oil, metals, agri, energy) - Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with buyers and suppliers - Monitor global commodity markets and adjust strategies accordingly - Build long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and logistics partners - Collaborate with the trading team to forecast demand and plan procurement - Ensure all trading activities comply with local and international regulations - Prepare detailed sales and trading reports for management - Attend industry events and represent the company in client meetings - Maintain a high standard of customer service and market responsiveness Requirements - Minimum 5 years of experience in commodities sales or trading (local or international) - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field - Proven sales and negotiation skills in trading environments - Strong knowledge of commodity markets, pricing structures, and trading platforms - Experience working with international suppliers and customers - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and commercial acumen - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Familiarity with UAE trade regulations and import/export procedures - Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
