We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Interior Wood Finisher to join our client’s aviation interiors team. The role involves the repair, restoration, and refinishing of high-quality wooden and veneered components used in aircraft cabins. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the premium aesthetic standards of aircraft interiors, including high-gloss veneers, tables, cabinetry, side panels, and decorative trims. This position demands precision craftsmanship, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. Key Roles and Responsibilities - Perform repair, restoration, and refinishing of wooden and veneered aircraft cabin components to meet design and quality specifications. - Prepare, sand, polish, and finish surfaces to achieve flawless high-gloss or matte appearances as required. - Match colors, grains, and finishes to existing cabin interiors to maintain uniformity and visual consistency. - Apply lacquers, stains, sealers, and other finishing materials using appropriate techniques and tools. - Inspect finished work for accuracy, surface smoothness, and adherence to company and aviation standards. - Collaborate with design, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of cabin interior projects. - Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace to meet safety and cleanliness standards. - Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to aviation interior maintenance and finishing. - Ensure all work meets regulatory and quality control requirements as per company and aviation authority standards. Requirements and Qualifications - Proven experience in wood finishing, furniture restoration, or cabinetry (aviation, marine, or luxury interiors preferred). - Strong knowledge of veneers, lacquers, stains, and finishing techniques. - Skilled in sanding, polishing, color matching, and surface preparation. - High level of manual dexterity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, finish specifications, and work instructions. - Strong understanding of aviation quality and safety standards. - Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a production or maintenance team.
