We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Leather Technician to join our client’s aviation interiors team. The role is responsible for the repair, restoration, and maintenance of leather furnishings within aircraft cabins, ensuring exceptional quality and comfort. The ideal candidate will deliver high-standard workmanship across seats, divans, side panels, headrests, and other leather-trimmed interior components. This position requires precision, craftsmanship, and an eye for detail to maintain the premium finish and luxury aesthetics expected in aircraft interiors. Key Roles and Responsibilities - Inspect leather furnishings for wear, damage, or defects, and recommend appropriate restoration actions. - Perform cleaning, repair, re-dyeing, and refinishing of leather surfaces to restore original appearance and texture. - Replace or recover leather panels, cushions, and covers as needed, ensuring perfect fit and alignment. - Restore and condition leather materials to maintain softness, durability, and color consistency. - Prepare, cut, stitch, and install leather components using professional-grade tools and finishing techniques. - Match colors, grains, and textures to existing cabin interiors to maintain aesthetic uniformity. - Ensure all completed work meets company and aviation standards for fit, finish, and safety. - Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials. - Accurately document all work performed, materials used, and restoration processes for quality control purposes. Requirements and Qualifications - Proven experience in leather restoration, upholstery, or interior refurbishment (aviation, marine, or automotive sectors preferred). - Strong knowledge of leather types, treatments, dyes, and repair techniques. - Skilled in stitching, trimming, cutting, and refinishing leather components. - Exceptional attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality-focused mindset. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently. - Experience working on luxury interiors (business jets, yachts, or high-end vehicles) preferred. - Formal training or certification in leather repair or upholstery is an advantage. - Strong manual dexterity, precision, and color-matching skills. - Professional appearance, teamwork, and strong work ethic.
