We are hiring a Wood Finisher – Aircraft Interior to join one of our clients’ aviation maintenance and manufacturing operations in Dubai. This role is ideal for a skilled professional experienced in aircraft cabin interior finishing, responsible for delivering high-precision woodwork that meets aviation quality and safety standards. The Wood Finisher will prepare, refinish, and restore aircraft interior components such as veneers, panels, cabinetry, and trim to ensure compliance with regulatory and airworthiness requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, knowledge of aviation-grade materials, and strict adherence to safety and quality protocols within the aircraft industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and refinish aircraft interior wood components including veneers, cabinetry, side ledges, and decorative panels.
- Sand, stain, polish, seal, and lacquer wood surfaces using approved aviation-grade materials.
- Perform color matching and grain matching to meet OEM specifications and customer requirements.
- Repair damaged veneer surfaces, cracks, chips, and defects in accordance with aviation standards.
- Operate spray booths, sanding machines, and precision finishing tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all finishing work complies with aviation regulatory standards and company quality procedures.
- Inspect completed work to meet airworthiness, quality control, and safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of tasks performed as required by aviation maintenance regulations.
- Follow strict safety procedures when handling chemicals and finishing materials.
- Coordinate with aircraft technicians, engineers, and quality inspectors to meet project timelines.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wood Finisher within the aircraft, aviation, or aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft interior finishing techniques and aviation-grade materials.
- Familiarity with aviation quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Experience working in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) or aircraft manufacturing environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship.
- Ability to work in a regulated, safety-critical aviation environment.
